Meet Gracie
Founder and Senior Stylist
Ever since I can remember, I've had a passion for clothes and hair styling. I was born in Indianapolis and raised on a farm in the country. After training at the Aveda Fredericks Institute, I started my apprenticeship at a high end salon, Bobby Cooper Salon, in Indianapolis. I was fortunate to train and work at Bobby Cooper--one of the top 200 salons in North America.
With 10+ years of experience in the salon business, I've worked with many brands including Oribe, Matrix, R&Co, Shu Uemura, Kerastase, Aveda, Davines, Äz. Throughout these years, I've continued my education in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. I love learning and will never stop growing. At Salt and Steel Salon, I plan to continue expanding my hair knowledge and to develop my team's expertise to best support our clients.
On a personal level, I love interior design, cooking shows, fashion and non-toxic skincare. Married in 2015, I'm a proud wife and a new mom as of April 2021. We're an active family of 3, and we enjoy a very healthy lifestyle.
Meet Angie
Hair Stylist
Born in Ecuador, I moved to the US when I was 9 years old. When I started exploring with makeup and hair, I knew I wanted a career in hair styling. I have always enjoyed applying my creativity in arts and crafts. I love how the beauty industry is a place where every individual can express themselves through hair, make up, and fashion.
In 2019, I started an immersive, apprenticeship program. Through my apprenticeship, I gained experience in a wide range of salon services and learned the value of building client relationships. With one-on-one instruction, I completed many color applications and had hands-on learning in the formulation process. I look forward to specializing color, cuts and styles to each client and customizing each skill to specific faces, shapes and skin tones.
I enjoy styling the most. I love seeing how happy and confident my clients can get after a hair transformation.
